Case Histories
KING Case Histories are a series of project reports, some typical applications and some unique, in which KING personnel and products have provided solutions for consulting engineers, owners and contractors. These projects range from small concrete rehabilitation projects to large international mining and tunneling projects. They cover the use of many of KING's products in markets throughout North America.
Concrete Pumping System
Minequip designed, manufactured and supplied a dry concrete transport, mixing and pumping train for an underground mine in the USA. The system was used to supply high early strength concrete for a rail tunnel. All of the components were mounted on 3 rail trucks. Main components of the system included a 4.5 cubic meter dry re-mix cassette, a continuous concrete mixer, a wet mix elevator and a concrete pump.
Dry Shotcrete Spraying System (Permafrost Conditions)
The system was supplied to an underground mine in the Canadian Arctic for shotcreting in permafrost conditions. Minequip provided input into the overall design of the system as well as the actual supply of the spray arm and shotcrete machine. Minequip was a key contributor to the design and construction of this specialized dry shotcrete spraying system.
Portable Cement Slurry Mixing Plant
Portable cement slurry mixing plant. Designed and manufactured by Minequip. Used for cemented rock-fill in underground mining.
